For players committed to building an SSR+ Lu Bu team, the recommended strategy is to dominate early by dealing burst damage quickly and preventing the enemy from stacking passive effects. The recommended Strategist is Diao Chan, thanks to her ability to copy the male hero with the highest Martial Power, creating a double Lu Bu lineup. One Lu Bu is already terrifying; two Lu Bus can blow the enemy apart before combat even begins.

Lu Bu, the War God, takes the field

The core lineup should consist of Lu Bu, SSR Dong Zhuo, and Hua Xiong to activate the Brutal Faction, greatly increasing their damage when deployed together. Zhang Liao can be added to boost the damage of allies in the same row and column, while Pan Feng provides an additional damage buff for the entire team.

Recommended Lu Bu lineup

Hua Xiong has a passive ability that can execute low-health enemies based on a percentage of their maximum HP, making him highly effective against fragile lineups or teams that need time to build buffs. Lords can also hunt down Marquis of Wen – Lu Bu, who is currently available for purchase, to break through his aptitude and significantly increase his power.

In the late game, obtaining UR Dong Zhuo will make the lineup as solid as a rock. The only thing tougher than one Dong Zhuo is two Dong Zhuos. This lineup strongly counters teams that stack passive effects slowly, especially prolonged defensive formations.
