New Year Developer Talk

-----------------------------------------

We are currently working on launching a new formation-switching feature, shortening the downtime between KvK seasons, and introducing a new large-scale multiplayer battle mode.

-----------------------------------------

An update to Armaments is also in our plans.

Some players have mentioned that the Armaments obtained from bundles do not improve their power at all. To address this issue, we are researching a new feature for Armaments similar to Transmutation and Forging.

-----------------------------------------

We are also reviewing the effects of Crystal Technology in the Season of Conquest and considering additional optimizations.

-----------------------------------------

Many players are wondering whether we have any plans to merge multiple kingdoms in the future.

As the game continues to operate, the gap in the number of active players between kingdoms is growing. Some kingdoms are struggling to gather enough players to participate in the Ark of Osiris, KvK, and other activities. During recent offline meetings and in-game surveys, many Governors expressed their desire to merge servers.

We also believe that merging servers could alleviate this issue to some extent. However, considering RoK's unique community environment, we will do our best to avoid server mergers through a system that forcibly reallocates players. This plan is currently underway, and once it is completed, we will announce it through Developer Talk and other channels. We look forward to hearing feedback from Governors.

-----------------------------------------

What strategies are being implemented to encourage more players to return to RoK?

We have improved the rewards for returning players and addressed issues raised by the community. By introducing the Legendary Commander Swap feature and automatically providing Passport Pages, we hope to offer returning players a better gaming experience.

In addition, we regularly organize special events to encourage Governors to invite their former allies back to the game.

-----------------------------------------

Many players develop their accounts on older servers before migrating to newer ones, creating an imbalance in the game. How do you view this issue?

New Player Immigration was originally designed to allow new players who wanted to play with friends from other servers to transfer servers from the beginning of the game without having to register again.

We are aware that some players are using this feature to gain an advantage on newer servers. We will look into this issue to ensure a fairer gaming environment.

-----------------------------------------

Will the mobile combat experience be optimized? Although RoK was designed as a mobile game, the KvK combat experience is much smoother on PC.

Through recent updates, we have introduced several features, such as Quick Actions and Filter Mode, to improve the combat experience on mobile devices. We will continue working hard in this area.

-----------------------------------------

Will there be more ranged units? At present, there are too many ranged units, and this affects the combat experience in RoK. Players often prioritize attacking with ranged units, which can make battles less enjoyable.

We are still preparing a new Technical Commander, but we are proceeding cautiously and focusing on maintaining a balanced power dynamic on the battlefield. In fact, we have been closely monitoring the performance of ranged units on the battlefield and have noted several issues and concerns raised by Governors. In the future, we will continue adjusting ranged units to achieve a relative balance between ranged and melee units on the battlefield.

Happy New Year to all Governors, and we look forward to seeing you in the next Developer Talk!
