Developer Q&A – Hot Topics (July)

-------------------------------------

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to another Developer Q&A!

In this Developer Q&A, we’ll be discussing several hot topics from the community. Thank you to everyone who reached out to us! We hope to answer some of your most pressing questions.

Once again, if you have any comments or questions about what we discussed today, please feel free to share them in the Community. Your feedback is invaluable as we adjust our plans for the future.

-------------------------------------

Question 1: How much longer until the automatic peacekeeping and auto-assist features are released? Will these features be available immediately?

Answer 1: Automatic peacekeeping, auto-assist, and automatic chat translation will be added as bonus benefits when purchasing the 30-Day Gem Supply. We plan to pioneer-test these features in selected kingdoms after Update 1.0.98.

-------------------------------------

Question 2: I’d like the ranking system in Eve of the Crusade to be changed from kingdom rankings to camp rankings. That way, our camps can work together to fight for first place instead of competing against one another.

Answer 2: We will test using camp rankings for Eve of the Crusade in a future update.

-------------------------------------

Question 3: Since we already have Armament Conversion Stones for switching armaments, I’d also like to see some kind of conversion system or event for equipment. This would allow players to experiment with different playstyles, such as switching from an archer-focused build to an infantry-focused one.

Answer 3: We added Armament Conversion Stones because new formations and armaments are being introduced continuously, and we want to reduce the cost for players experimenting with them. At present, we have no plans to add any new equipment, except accessories, and an equipment conversion system could reduce the value of accounts that have multiple equipment sets for different troop types.

Since equipment has long been a major area of player progression and has been part of the game for a long time, it is an important indicator of an account’s value. Therefore, we have no plans to launch an equipment conversion system in the near future.

Question 4: We’re testing an accelerated KvK season, but entering the Lost Kingdom immediately after the announcement is too soon. We need more time to manage our kingdom, including diplomacy and match preparation.

Answer 4: Thank you for your feedback! The accelerated KvK season is currently undergoing pioneer testing, and we will incorporate player feedback before its official release.

The adjustments we’re planning include allowing more time for diplomacy and somewhat relaxing the migration schedule.

-------------------------------------

Question 5: I don’t like the current tug-of-war style of combat. It requires too much micromanagement and isn’t fun, especially on mobile devices. I hope to see improvements or a return to the old system, which was less cumbersome.

Answer 5: We have recently been focusing on improving this issue:

From a gameplay perspective, we have addressed it by introducing new commander mechanics, improving Crystal technologies and the Glorious Past buff effects, adjusting how Rage works, and doing everything we can to reduce the burden of combat.

From a controls perspective, we have been gradually refining the mobile controls. We will continue making battles smoother and smarter with features such as attack marches and other control options.

-------------------------------------

Question 6: I’d like to be able to hide or disable unnecessary UI buttons in the PC version. Buttons that have assigned hotkeys don’t need to remain visible. Currently, when enemies approach, it’s very easy to accidentally press the wrong button instead of performing the action I intended.

Answer 6: We are currently planning to improve how army interaction buttons are displayed on PC to prevent accidental presses and keep them from obstructing your view.

-------------------------------------

Question 7: At present, we can only remove governors from the alliance whitelist one at a time, which is very time-consuming. It would be great if you could add a bulk removal feature or a Quick Remove button to make managing the whitelist easier.

Answer 7: Thank you for the suggestion! We will do our best to implement this feature as soon as possible.

-------------------------------------

Question 8: It’s far too easy to receive the lowest “Faced with Difficulty” rating in battlefield matches. This makes me not want to participate in battlefield matches anymore.

Answer 8: We are working on adjusting how match ratings are categorized and displayed to address this issue.

-------------------------------------

Question 9: I fight extremely hard in battlefield matches and spend a great deal of speedups and resources healing my troops, but I can’t earn many kill points because of my limited skill or low level of development. As a result, I receive no recognition from my kingdom or the community. I’d like the developers to guide players toward recognizing contributions from players like me.

Answer 9: We agree that in the past, we somewhat overlooked factors such as severely wounded units when evaluating player contributions. We are currently working on designing a new metric, distinct from kill points, to reflect the overall contributions of governors who fight hard for their kingdoms in KvK matches.

We also plan to redesign several systems around this new metric, including KvK reports and profile data, as well as some KvK rankings and rewards, such as Crusader Achievement.

That concludes this Developer Q&A. If you have any feedback on the topics above or anything else in the game, we welcome you to share it through Customer Support or in the Community. We will continue gathering governors’ feedback to optimize the game.
