Version 1.0.98 Update: Mystery of the Island

Hello, Governor,

We plan to update the game to version 1.0.98: Mystery of the Island at 06:00 UTC on August 12, 2025. The servers will be unavailable for approximately 3 hours during the update. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will send compensation rewards once the update is complete.

-------------------------------------------

1. An exciting journey to the Treasure Islands is about to begin, but the real treasure is all the events we’ve prepared for you!

1) Breaking Waves: Complete missions over 7 days to claim fantastic rewards!

2) Set Sail for the Clouds: Collect points to earn rewards for yourself and your alliance members!

3) Treasure Islands: Exchange for all kinds of rewards, including a brand-new city theme!

4) Protect the Supplies: Escort supply shipments to local villages to ensure the festival goes smoothly!

5) Battle of the Three Titans: Three teams enter, but only one team emerges. Who will rule Greece?

Check the Event Schedule for the detailed timetable. Some events are only available in regions where all kingdoms have existed for at least 21 days. Event rewards may vary depending on the kingdom’s season.

-------------------------------------------

2. Brand-new events are coming soon!

1) Assault on the Dark Fortress: Rally your allies, attack the Dark Fortress, and claim rewards!

*This event will be gradually rolled out to all kingdoms after the update.

-------------------------------------------

3. Event Optimizations

1) Ceroli Crisis Optimization

- Added a new Tactical Retreat skill and optimized the Net of a Thousand Traps skill, allowing ranged armies to play a greater role.

*This change will only take effect in kingdoms in Season 2 or later.

2) Olympia Champion Optimization

- Added a new Sapper Blessing and related skills, adjusted Archer skills, and modified the values of certain Infantry, Cavalry, and Mixed skills.

3) The Lost Kingdom Optimization

- Added a new "Lost Kingdom Buff Effects" option for custom matches. As the match administrator, you can choose to grant all participants buffs from the Glorious Revival event, Crystal Tech buffs, neither, or both.

- In Silver Battlefield, Governors who do not participate in the match or leave midway will be replaced by bots. If a Governor later returns to the match, they will automatically replace the bot.

- Added a new interactive tutorial battlefield. You can play the tutorial the first time you enter The Lost Kingdom or through the event rules page. The tutorial will guide you through a simulated Lost Kingdom match and introduce the mode’s core mechanics.

4) Golden Kingdom Optimization

- When entering Golden Kingdom, your troop formation will default to the formation from the previous Golden Kingdom event.

- Added a skip-match option. If you choose to skip, the match will be simulated, and you will be shown its results and casualties. Your troop formation can be adjusted outside the match.

- Lost Chests can now be claimed with a single tap.

5) Historical Hunt Optimization

- During the Archaeological Excavation event, you can now obtain a fixed number of Hammers by completing event missions instead of finding them randomly.

- Hammer Shop options have been adjusted. You can now purchase Hammers with Gems and buy the Extensive Archaeology Bundle through the Hammer Shop page.

- When reaching a new regular floor or Mystery Treasure Floor, the floor reward will default to the reward you selected for the previous regular floor or Mystery Treasure Floor.

In addition, the Special Forge, Holy Knight’s Treasure, and Historical Hunt events now include a quick overview of the Legendary equipment you currently have equipped.

-------------------------------------------

4. Season of Conquest Optimizations

1) King of Britain Story Optimization

- The process of selecting a camp’s initial territories has been removed. Camps will now be automatically assigned an initial territory based on matchmaking results.

- The Eve of the Crusade event for King of Britain now works like the other stories, with kingdoms receiving buffs based on their event rankings.

2) The new Crystal Technology system will be put through Pioneer Testing in the Season of Conquest stories The Imperishable Empire and King of Britain. The stories Through the Ages and Heroic Anthem will continue to use the new Crystal Technology system.

-------------------------------------------

5. Other Optimizations and New Content

1) Battle report ratings have been optimized. For merged battle reports, your rating will be based on the number of enemy units you killed or severely wounded.

2) Museum artifacts have been added for Harald Sigurdsson and Zenobia.

3. Added external mouse and keyboard support for iPhone and iPad. If you are using an iPhone, you will need to enable AssistiveTouch in your phone’s accessibility settings.

4) The permission to pre-plan Expedition Flags has been adjusted. Flags can now be planned by alliance leaders, Counselors, and any officer with the "Manage Alliance" privilege.

5) Added Premium Daily Special Offers. After purchasing all Daily Special Offers in a day, you will unlock a limited-time special bundle containing a guaranteed sculpture for your selected commander.

6) The storage limit for Passport Pages in the "Weekly Limit" section of the Alliance Shop has been adjusted to 75.

7) To prevent calculation errors caused by excessive latency, the time when an army leaves battle will now be calculated in real time rather than by ticks.

-------------------------------------------

Thank you for supporting Rise of Kingdoms. Have fun playing, Governors!
