Advanced Notice on the October Version Optimization Plan

Dear Commanders,

Hello everyone.

The late-September update has officially been released, and the related optimizations have also been implemented. At the same time, we noticed that some Commanders wanted clearer plans and timelines regarding issues such as treatment costs, Hospital capacity, the post-battle recovery experience, and lag during large-scale battles. We have received all of this feedback and understand that everyone wants to see a clearer schedule and implementation progress for the issues they care about.

Therefore, we would like to share the main plans for the late-October update in advance, including the combat experience optimizations that many of you have been paying particular attention to recently. For any balance adjustments involving specific values, we will provide more details in the official update notice at the end of this month.

I. New Large-Scale Cross-Server Event “Rustwaste Conquest” Coming Soon

The late-October update will introduce an entirely new large-scale cross-server Alliance competition event, Rustwaste Conquest. This mode will revolve around Alliance battles for key strongholds on the map, emphasizing Alliance cooperation, resource control, frontline strategy, stronghold offense and defense, and team coordination. It will also introduce additional tactical mechanics and dynamic battlefield changes. Full gameplay details will be announced in a later notice.

II. Optimizations for Large-Scale Cross-Server War Events

To address the combat experience issues that you have long been concerned about, the following adjustments will be made in the late-October update:

1. Optimize Island Raid matchmaking to better balance Alliance strength within the same battlefield;
2. Improve Advanced Optimization Mode to reduce lag during large-scale cross-server war event scenarios;
3. Increase Hospital capacity in all large-scale cross-server war event battlefields;
4. Recover a certain percentage of wounded troops in the Hospital each day in all large-scale cross-server war event battlefields;
5. Increase the drop rate of items at Aid Stations in Island Raid;
6. Add Instant Recovery Medicine drops in Island Raid, which can directly treat wounded troops in the Hospital;
7. Add a restriction requiring Commanders to remain bound to their Alliance after registering for a large-scale cross-server war event, helping Alliance teams remain more stable.
We would also like to discuss Point 7 in a little more detail. In previous cross-server events, players could join Alliances in different regions relatively easily, resulting in members frequently moving between Alliances. This created certain challenges in maintaining balanced matchmaking for cross-server events. Following preliminary research and feedback collected from Commanders, we plan to introduce an Alliance lock mechanism after registration for cross-server battle events to improve the matchmaking experience. The tentative plan is as follows:
I. Scope
This adjustment will apply to Island Raid, Raid Island, Ultimate Showdown, and new large-scale cross-server war events in future versions. (Glory Tournament will not be affected by this rule.)
II. Rule Details
1. After a Commander registers for Island Raid / Raid Island / Ultimate Showdown / a new large-scale cross-server war event with Alliance A, they will be locked to Alliance A for the next [X] days.
2. During the Alliance lock period, Commanders may only participate in the aforementioned cross-server war events with Alliance A and will not be able to register for these events with Alliance B.
The above is a tentative plan. The lock duration and specific effective period will be based on future in-game announcements or previews.
III. Hero Interface and Troop Training Optimizations
1. Add a favorite function to the Hero interface. Favorite Heroes will be displayed at the top for easier access;
2. Add a sidebar zoom function to the Hero interface, allowing more Heroes to be displayed in a single column;
3. Add a one-tap upgrade feature for Heroes;
4. Add detailed displays of Hero skill attributes;
5. Add a Quick Training feature to the Barracks, with support for quickly switching between Barracks to conveniently train multiple types of troops.
IV. Other Experience Optimizations
1. Optimize the Suppression feature in Beast Invasion so that stages cleared through Suppression better match your current actual strength, reducing the need to repeatedly clear the same stages each week;
2. Add tags to the rally interface in the Battle Center to distinguish between war rallies and rallies against neutral units, reducing combat errors;
3. Add a maximum-attribute selection box for Automatic Honing of Hero Gear. Once selected, Automatic Honing will stop when a maximum attribute affix is obtained;
4. Add a shortcut to Alliance Donations, allowing all currently remaining donation attempts to be used at once;
5. Add an additional reminder when Hero Gear or Mutated Beasts have not been equipped while deploying multiple teams.
V. Plan to Adjust Hero Gear for the Mobile Team
In addition, we would like to share an adjustment currently in progress.
Since the beginning of this year, the Hero Gear system has successively introduced the Seafarer set for the Raid Team and the Section 9 set for the Ranged Team. Once a Hero equips the required number of pieces from either of these two Gear sets, they will gain an additional set effect. However, the Mobile Team currently does not have a corresponding Hero Gear set, making it difficult for some Commanders who focus on the Mobile Team to obtain comparable set benefits under the same progression conditions.
We are evaluating a plan to upgrade the Flint Gear Set for the Mobile Team. The goal is to reduce Commanders’ acquisition costs through this adjustment while also creating a better balance between the Mobile, Raid, and Ranged Teams.
This adjustment involves a certain amount of development work and is currently expected to be completed this year. Once the schedule is confirmed, we will share it with everyone through an announcement as soon as possible.
VI. Conclusion
We hope that what everyone sees is not just the plan itself, but also the implementation schedule and the progress being made behind the scenes. The content above reflects the main optimization directions confirmed for the late-October update. We will proceed according to plan and share specific details in the update announcement at the end of this month.
Thank you to every Commander for your continued feedback and patience. We will continue to meet your expectations through tangible updates and improvements.
