With the upcoming 1.3 update, players are eager to find out which new characters will be added. Although information is still scarce, Playee has compiled all the available details about the upcoming character banners in ZZZ.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 Release Date

HoYoverse has not yet announced an official release date for the 1.3 update. However, based on the game's six-week update cycle, Version 1.3 is expected to launch around November 6, 2024.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 Banners

The 1.3 update will introduce two new S-Rank characters to the banners.

Phase I: Yanagi (S-Rank, Electric, Anomaly)

Yanagi is a highly anticipated character, especially among players who love Raiden Shogun from Genshin Impact. Tsukishiro Yanagi is the Vice Chief of Section 6 in Zenless Zone Zero and works closely with Hoshimi Miyabi, Soukaku, and Harumasa. Although HoYoverse has not officially revealed her abilities, leaked gameplay footage has given us a first look at how she uses her Electric Anomaly abilities.

Yanagi wields a naginata and can harness electricity to take down her enemies. She has two distinct combat stances.

These stances allow Yanagi to switch between different combos and unleash powerful attacks that deal massive Electric damage. Her combat style is reminiscent of Raiden Shogun's.

Phase II: Lighter (S-Rank, Fire, Stun)

The second banner of the 1.3 update will feature Lighter, an S-Rank character with the Fire attribute and a Stun kit. Lighter is a member of the Sons of Calydon faction, alongside Caesar King and Burnice White. Unlike Yanagi, Lighter is a brawler who uses his fists to deliver powerful punches and overwhelm his enemies.

Lighter has a Special Attack that makes him leap forward and deal heavy Fire damage with an uppercut. His dodge skill also deals Fire damage in front of him and grants him invulnerability while dodging.

Other highlights of Lighter's kit include:

A special taunt featuring his sunglasses.
Continuous combo attacks.
His fifth Basic Attack can be repeated, similar to Qingyi.
His Chain Attack has two parts: a default version and a forward-moving version, costing 40 energy.
His backward attack costs 20 energy.

These abilities make Lighter a powerful character who fits into any team that needs high damage and continuous crowd control.
