Asaba Harumasa, the new wandering Electro swordsman joining the Proxy forces of Zenless Zone Zero, has been attracting plenty of attention. What makes him even more special is that HoYoverse is generously giving him away for free, making Harumasa even more of a hot pick. Much like Dr. Ratio in Honkai: Star Rail, Harumasa may be free, but he still packs formidable power and has tremendous potential as an Electro DPS. This guide will show you how to build Harumasa the right way so he can carry your team through every battle!

W-Engine: Which One Should You Choose for Harumasa?

To unleash Harumasa's full potential, his W-Engine is a piece of equipment that should not be overlooked. Here are some excellent choices:

Zanshin Herb Case (5-star, signature):This is Harumasa's best-in-slot choice. Zanshin Herb Case provides a large amount of CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, and Electric DMG, making it easier to balance his stats through Drive Discs.
The Brimstone (5-star):An excellent alternative that optimizes Harumasa's ATK%, especially effective when he repeatedly deals damage with Basic Attacks to build stacks.
Drill Rig - Red Axis (4-star):Greatly increases Electric DMG by up to 80% and improves Energy regeneration, allowing Harumasa to use his Ultimate more frequently.

Drive Discs: Maximizing Electric DMG

As an Electro DPS, Harumasa needs Drive Discs focused on the following stats:

Priority:CRIT DMG, Electric DMG, and ATK%.
Lower priority:CRIT Rate, since Harumasa already gains CRIT Rate from his Core Passive and signature W-Engine.

Here is a recommended Drive Disc setup for Harumasa:

4-piece Woodpecker Electro:The top choice, providing additional CRIT Rate and activating its passive when landing critical hits. It is an excellent fit for Harumasa's playstyle, which relies on Basic Attacks, his Ultimate, and Dodge Counters.
4-piece Thunder Metal: Effective when pairing Harumasa with another Electro character capable of inflicting Shock, such as Grace or Yanagi, to maintain the buff.
4-piece Hormone Punk:Grants 35% ATK upon entering combat, but the effect lasts for only 10 seconds.

Drive Disc Stat Priority:

Slot 4:CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG.
Slot 5:Electric DMG or ATK%.
Slot 6:ATK%.
Preferred substats:CRIT DMG > CRIT Rate > ATK%
